October 10, 2015 Heritage Quest Research Library presents their Autumn Quest 2015 "Find Women from your Past." Presenters are Donna Potter-Phillips of the Eastern Washington Genealogical Society and PS-APG members Jill Morelli, Janice Lovelace and Janet Camarata. It will be held at Faith Covenant Church, 1915 Washington St., Sumner, WA 98390. Starts 8:15 am. Conferences and Seminars

The following conferences and seminars occur annually in the genealogical community. For more information on other possibilities check out our Education page.

National Conferences

APG Conference: The Association of Professional Genealogists(APG) holds a yearly Professional Management Conference (PMC). This conference is usually at the beginning of the year.

This conference is presented before a major institute or conference.

SLIG: The Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) under the Utah Genealogy Association care happens in January of each year.

Rootstech: The RootsTech Conference is held in February in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Salt Palace Convention Center not far from the Family History Library.

NGS: The National Genealogical Society Conference is held yearly in the Spring. There is always a new theme and location for this conference. Go here for information.

FGS: The Federation of Genealogical Societies holds a yearly conference in either August or September at a different location: This society is membership for genealogical societies and not individuals but it is a great conference. Click here for more information as it becomes available.

Jamboree: Sponsored by the Southern California Genealogical Society and held in June in Burbank, California. They have a day of DNA presentations and then the conference is held for three full days of lectures and presentations, vendors and more. http://genealogyjamboree.com/

International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies: The IAJGS Annual Conference 2016 will be held in Seattle, WA August 7-12. This annual conference brings together family searchers, academics, professional genealogists, historians, and a wide variety of individuals form around the world who cherish the heritage and future of the Jewish people. Washington State Conferences and Seminars

Washington State Genealogical Society holds a yearly conference sponsored by member societies and occasionally the WSGS Board. Click here for past conferences.

Genealogical Counsel of Oregon (GCO) holds a seminar every other year in Eugene, Oregon. They are on Facebook. In 2014 they had Tom Jones as guest speaker.

The Family History Fair(formerly the Family History Expo) held yearly in the first weeks of November, either in Bellevue or in Redmond is sponsored by the LDS church. It is one of the largest in the Puget Sound area.

Northwest Genealogical Conference, hosted by the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society will present a conference in August.
